The Hunger Games Book is a Great Read so Far !
I’m not one to get into the hype of reading any book that the media is currently touting, however The Hunger Games is a book I decided to pick up just last week after reading the back cover to find out what its all about of course and with the recommendation of a co-worker. I have yet to finish the book, but so far I’m right in the middle of it and pleased to say that its turned out to be a major page turner for me. I even bought a book light so I can read a few pages before bed !
The plot for The Hunger Games goes a little something like this….
The story is basically about Katniss a 16 year old teenager who lives in the nation of Panem a place that was once known as North America. A long time ago, the district of Panem waged war on the Capitol and they were defeated. Now as part of their surrender, each district agreed to send one boy and one girl to participate in the annual televised event called ”The Hunger Games” where participants fight to the death on live TV. Katniss is forced to compete in the 24-man-enter-1-man-leaves event.- That’s is all I am going to say as I don’t want to be one of those people who ruin the book for everybody else by telling too much!
If you are already a Suzanne Collins fan, this book will continue to impress. If you’re like me and you’ve just discovered Suzanne Collins, this book won’t disappoint and chances are you’ll end up thoroughly enjoying it. I literally CAN NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN ! I don’t usually say this for many books out there, but The Hunger Games is definitely a book worth reading page to page. Well written and most exciting is that it’s a book series !
